I've been searching for Movie Maker for a long time. I finally got it back. Thank you. Once it installed it comes up with an error. This is way ahead of the currently released software and is very very difficult to find! I can do so much more with this over the new released apps which are very limited and frustrating.
I have been looking for months for Movie Maker, tried a few different downloads that didn't work I did have to run it twice as the first time, it asked me to reboot then try to run the exe file again..

I have been trying all morning to download Windows Essentials on to my PC I am currently running Windows 7 Professional of Service Pack 1 with a bit operating system and I continue to receive the following error message : "An Unknown Error Occurred" Error: 0x Source: dotNet40 Im at a loss as to what to do next. Other sites I tried threw up warnings from my anti-virus program. Downloading it now. The Photo app in Windows 10 is only a replacement for Photo Viewer, with a worse importer. Funky B. I had an installer saved on my external hard drive, but I had the unpleasant surprise to discover that it was an online installer.

Tried again, same result. Followed Funky B's posted links above, tried using 3x different dated links on the archive.
A number of posts down the thread somebody posted that though they got this error message they found to their joy when clicking on Windows Start, there was the MovieMaker icon and it had indeed installed. So I looked myself and I don't know if it had been there since my first attempt using InsaneNutter's link or from one of my attempts from archive.
